Learning Goals

The pedagogical analysis covers how the product supports learning of the identified skills. The student’s role is assessed by four contrary pair parameters, which are selected to cover the most essential aspects on the use of the product.

Passive
Active
The pre-curated material of the solution (videos, maps, timelines) is vast and covers the curriculum topics very well. The material is extremely well produced and easy to use and digest. Collezioni is a versatile tool for the teacher. The teacher can bring interactive assignments from ZTE or create textual instructions for making assignments to their own Collezion.
Rehearse
Construct
Collezioni can be used to share materials to the students. It is possible to use Collezioni in more constructive manner, if the teachers instructs the students to create their own collection. A chance to find content from Youtube or add your own texts and images is great.
Linear
Non-linear/Creative
The solution promotes free exploration of content in a sense that the students can use Youtube resources to create their own collection. If the teacher uses Collezioni only for sharing materials, the student's experience is quite linear. If combined with ZTE, the teacher can monitor the learning progress between users by giving them exercises which measure learning.
Individual
Collaborative
The students can explore and create things autonomously, but there is a possibility to share a collection through a link to other users. This allows sharing of information, thoughts, and experiences. For teachers the chance to create public Collezion is a nice addition, and it is professionally very helpful to be able to browse the other teacher's Collezion.

The following are the high educational quality aspects in this product.

Very entertaining and well produced visual material (videos, maps, timelines), which helps the student to conceptualize things learned.
Excellent tool for the teacher to bring refreshing visual elements to classes. Works for both the traditional way of teaching or flipped learning.
If combined with ZTE service, includes high quality opportunities for interactive assignments.
The solution works also well as an electronic library for good students who wish to memorize or check information needed in their studies.

The supported learning goals are identified by matching the product with several relevant curricula descriptions on this subject area. The soft skills are definitions of learning goals most relevant for the 21st century. They are formed by taking a reference from different definitions of 21st century skills and Finnish curriculum.
